The Pending Nuptuals The Basics: We are getting married on July 25th, 2008. The event will be held at Court in the Square, in downtown Seattle. The ceremony will begin at 7:30pm and will be followed by a cocktail hour, light dinner, and dancing. The Venue: Court in the Square is located at 401 2nd Ave S • Seattle, Washington 98104. There is street parking available as well as parking in a secured lot across the street for $5. The Reception: Appitizers will be passes and drinks served while the venue is being converted from ceremony to reception setup. Following the appetizers will be a pasta bar with choices of alfredo, marinara, vodka, and pesto sauces. You may also add ground turkey or mushrooms to your choice of sauce. Pasta will be served with seasoned vegetables, two choices of salad, and bread. Accomodations: While there are many hotels in the downtown Seattle area a block of rooms has been reserved for your convience at the Silvercould Hotel - Stadium, listed under "Cook / Crowder Wedding." This hotel is within walking distance of the wedding venue (about 2-3 blocks). Please call (206) 204.2072 to place the reservation into your name at the discounted rate, reserving the room for yourself. Queen/Queen rooms are reserved at $239 per night and King rooms are $229 per night. I was able to get a much better rate for myself as a AAA member. If you have membership advantages you may be able to get much better rates than those listed in the booking reservation. If you would like to stay close to the airport to better accomodate you travel plans there are many hotels that will be able to accomodate your needs. Rooms were not blocked off at one of the many hotels near the airport because the blocked rates were much higher than the rates found on websites such as orbitz.com and priceline.com. Please look into your favorite reservation website prior to booking as you may find cheaper prices through these companies than I was able to make for you. Transportation: If flying in from out of town the closets airport is the Seattle/Tacoma airport...also known as Seatac. Taxis to downtown Seattle are a flat rate of $25. Many of the hotels have shuttles to and from the airport. Please contact the hotel you book with to confirm shuttle availability and times. |
